Award recognises outstanding risk management approach and culture across the organisation
Maidenhead, UK. 9 October 2015 –Sword Active Risk has awarded Downer an Innovation Award for its outstanding approach to risk management in its business practices across the organisation. The award was presented to Downer, at Sword Active Risk’s recent ARM User Conference held during September in Sydney. Downer’s Rail division uses Active Risk Manager (ARM) to manage safety and risk for all of its freight and passenger rail projects. Active Risk
Manager underpins Downer’s safety, health, risk, environment and quality (SHREQ) framework to improve the management of all risks that impact rail safety performance. The company’s SHREQ approach applies contemporary risk management strategies to the identification of safety risks that are connected to key business operations and functions.

Downer has won this award for its outstanding approach to risk management across the organization. Downer’s unique framework and application of ARM demonstrates how risk is central to their business and the service that they provide to customers.
