British cyber security specialist, Becrypt, is to participate in a two-day event hosted by CESG in Liverpool, 24-25 May. The CyberUK in Practice event will bring together cyber security and technology professionals from across the public sector, critical national infrastructure and industry. The aim of the event is to encourage collaboration amongst UK professionals who work in technology, digital, security, procurement and data to share best practice for tackling the information security challenges we face. Dr. Bernard Parsons, CEO and co-founder of Becrypt will be participating in a masterclass on 25 May, sharing insights, experiences and challenges relating to Cyber export as a UK SME.
Over the next five years, the UK will be investing increasingly in cyber security, and launching the new National Cyber Security Centre, working hand in hand with industry, academic and international partners to keep the UK secure in cyberspace. The National Cyber Security Centre will create a single point of contact in government and a unified source of advice and support on cyber security for businesses of all sizes and sectors.
Dr Parsons comments; “By promoting the cyber security sector and facilitating a co-ordinated approach across government, industry and academia, the UK government is actively supporting businesses to expand their target markets and increase market share internationally. Support and advice from organisations such as UKTI can be invaluable to relatively resource constrained SMEs.”
With its experience of the UK Government IT security sector spanning more than 15 years, Becrypt is focused on supporting government strategy for cyber security and digital transformation. Becrypt has extensive experience and a proven track record of designing and implementing cyber security solutions that protect sensitive information for government and commercial organisations within the UK and overseas.
